Job Opportunities

The Saving Brains Grenada research team is seeking suitable candidates for the positions of Data Manager, Research Assistant and Nurse.
Data Manager

  • Collect and compile information on study participants into secure database
  • Perform data entry using Microsoft Excel and PsychCorp NEPSY program
  • Ensure that study database is accurate and maintained in an orderly fashion and easily accessible by study investigators
  • Provide consistent updates to study investigators about the status and quality of the data
  • Ensure that all study staff members adhere to best practice protocol for data collection, data entry and data accuracy
  • Regularly review database to check for errors or inconsistencies in data
  • Assist with the collect of critical data for the study, including neuropsychological assessments
  • Assist with data checking, cleaning and analysis for study results and write-ups including government policy reports, reports to funding agencies and peer-reviewed journal articles and conference presentations
  • Other duties as assigned by the Principal Investigators and Project Manager

Minimum undergraduate (BA/BSc etc.) degree in Sciences, Mathematics, Economics, Logistics or other quantitative field

Research Assistant

  • Administer a neurodevelopmental/neuropsychological assessment on infants in the Zika project
  • Administer caregiver survey
  • Assist with data entry, checking, cleaning and analysis for study results
  • Attend regularly scheduled team meetings
  • Other duties as assigned by the Principal Investigator and Project Manager
  • Formal training in assessment preferred

Minimum undergraduate (BA/BSc etc.) degree in Psychology, Sociology, or other related Social Science

Nurse

  • Performing the required nurse assessments (physical examination, venipuncture and buccal swab) on infant in accordance with the established protocol of the study
  • Completing necessary documentation for child’s nurse assessment and sera log after assessment
  • Transportation of other research assistants and materials to and from research site daily
  • Report any issues to Principal Investigator and Project Manager
  • Attend regularly scheduled team meetings
  • Other duties as assigned by the Principal Investigator and Project Manager

Certification as a nurse in Grenada required
